Oman Triathlon Committee was formed in June 2019 as per ministerial decree no. 160/2019 with the aim of developing the sport in Oman.

Our mission is to function as the National Federation for triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon and related other multi-sports in Oman, to educate the nation and to represent Oman internationally.

Mohammed Khalfan Al Obeidani

Mohammed is the founder of Muscat Triathlon Club and TRI ME who were the first sporting event companies to run triathlons in Oman. An avid triathlete who was the first Omani to qualify for the IRONMAN (long distance triathlon) World Championships in Kona, Hawaii in 2017. He has successfully organized as the Race Owner and Director the first IRONMAN race in Oman.

Baida Al Zadjali

Baida is a graduate engineer with a masters in project management. She is a partner at MEEZAH, a project management consultancy. She has served in many local NGO boards. She has also participated in an expedition crossing 760 KM of the Oman Empty quarter in 28 days.

Sulayem Al Alawi

Suluyem holds a masters in sports science from Sultan Qaboos University. He has extensive experience in Physical sports education. An avid triathelete who has represented Oman in The Asian Games held in Qatar in 2007, The Asian Beach Games in Bali in 2008 and the Asian Beach Games in Oman in 2010.

Khoula Al Rawahi

Khoula has a masters in international relations from the USA. She has extensive experience in sports committee memberships and youth committees. She also has experience in the administration of a number of national women’s teams. She was also part of Oman’s official delegation to the Olympics in Beijing 2008.
